The 2032 Olympics is a major project with great benefits for Queensland
We have an opportunity to work together to ensure that this benefit is felt much wider than just Brisbane and SE Qld, and that all regions of Queensland benefit appropriately
Promote and lobby for opportunities, including infrastructure that provides a beneficial legacy beyond pre-Olympics training in regional areas, and providing pathway programs for athletes and future Olympians to remain in the regions but participate at the highest level
We can only achieve this by working together
In September 2022 we engaged the AOC CEO to begin this discussion at an Olympics Forum for Regional Queensland attended by over 25 Regional Queensland Councils
